Asiagraph 2008 adalah satu dari beberapa event terkait bidang teknologi digital yang diadakan di bawah satu payung besar: digital content expo 2008. event-event lain yang diselenggarakan secara paralel dalam digital content expo 2008 di antaranya adalah international 3d fair, context (content technology exhibits), 23rd digital content grand prix, talent development seminar, job guidance, e-sports (electronic sports) festival serta digital art festival tokyo (daf tokyo). pada event tahun ini, keseluruhan event di atas, minus daf tokyo, diadakan di national museum of emerging science and innovation atau yang lebih dikenal sebagai miraikan, di daerah odaiba, tokyo, dari tanggal 23 hingga 26 oktober 2008. digital content expo 2008 sendiri didukung oleh japan ministry of economy, trade and industry (meti) dan digital content association of japan (dcaj). |

Acquisition to Accelerate Autodesk's Games Strategy; Complements Digital Entertainment and Visual Communications Offering; Lets Artists Choose their Passion
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) and Avid Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVID), announced that they have signed a definitive agreement for Autodesk to acquire substantially all of the assets of Avid's Softimage business unit for approximately $35 million.
Softimage was founded in 1986 by Daniel Langlois and is headquartered in Montreal, Canada. Softimage develops 3D technology for the film, television and games markets. Its flagship product is SOFTIMAGE|XSI, an extensible 3D animation software solution used by leading media and entertainment companies, including Digital Domain, Ubisoft, SEGA Corporation, CAPCOM, Animal Logic and The Mill. Indigo Son Productions and Vital Distraction Announce Animated Film Production. "Seven Masters" will combine Anime and 3D technology.
Los Angeles - July 9, 2008 - Indigo Son Productions has announced the start of production on a full length animated film "Seven Masters". This film will be the first in a series Indigo Son will produce in a partnership with Vital Distraction, LLC also announced today. Distribution rights have been secured by Universal /Vivendi and release is anticipated in Q2, 2010. |
